About
Sandra was born in Birmingham, England and moved to Australia with her family when she was 4 years old.
She started in the arts and crafts industry creating homewares for a series of shops on the Sunshine Coast under her Nidary Design Studio. She became interested in the possibility of clay as a medium and undertook pottery lessons.
In 1999 she moved to Melbourne, where she began to introduce clay as the main medium in her work. She started Studio Sand'oro creating a large number of functional ceramic pieces, experimenting with design, form and colour.
Sandra now focuses her creative energies on fine ceramic jewellery, leather-bound journals featuring her quintessential ceramic touch, and a variety of functional homeware designs. Sandra's work can be found at a number of outlets.
